The Mayo Writers' Block is for writers or people who want to write.  

The group was established in March 2004 to promote creative writing of all genres within the county.  To date we have attracted novelists, poets, scriptwriters, writers of short stories and writers for children. Many are beginners - others more experienced.  

The group meets twice a month, to read and critique member's work in a relaxed atmosphere.  Members bring work to the meetings with typed copies for distribution. Once the work is read and critiqued, the copies are returned to the author.
